The Art Writing Library, curated by Mary Rhinebold and Beatrice Schulz

A public series proposes a shape of art writing across sound, text, film and discourse, remaking the AW Library as a site for praxis: a centre for both research and production. Like the practice of art writing, the content establishes itself in the work it produces, while simultaneously looking back at artefacts in light of its own existence. With among others, Amélie Mourgue d’Algue, Ian Monk, Sarina Basta and Franck Leibovici.

Already a strong part of Paris’ annual cultural programme, Nuit Blanche Video focuses on video art over the course of one night. On Saturday October 12, the galleries of London’s West End will screen the work of French video artists in their windows. Parisian galleries will host a similar event with British artists next year, strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries.

Lili Reynaud-Dewar

In 2013, French artist Lili Reynaud-Dewar is committed to produce only bedroom pieces: in this spirit, for her Frieze Projects 2013 commission Reynaud-Dewar will stage an immersive and performative environment taking the form of a bedroom installation. Reynaud-Dewar’s project examines and is inspired by the works of writers who make their own life the material of their work, such as Guillaume Dustan’s text Dans Ma Chambre (In My Room, 1996), among others.

Elodie Seguin, Frame

Elodie Seguin interventions in the space involve plans and volumes, real and imaginary spaces, unique, without being « in situ », evoking somewhere else without being completely a non-site, static but not motionless, partially ready-made, sometimes paintings, more often sculpture or installation. A must see at the East London gallery booth, who recently exhibited Karina Bisch’s work.
